Dining

The traditional, seasonal cuisine of Le Marche boasts a great deal of variety. Fish and seafood dominate along the coast, while chicken, rabbit, game, lamb, mushrooms and truffles feature more on the menu in the hinterland.

Common to both areas is the wide choice of pasta, fresh vegetables and salads. Specialities include Olive Ascolane (deep-fried olives stuffed with meat or fish), Macceroncini di Campofilone, and Brodetto di Pesce (traditional fish soup), and many more.

There are traditional dishes to savour at the many sagre (village festivals and markets), such as the truffle markets in Sant Angelo in Vado or Sant Agata Feltria (October).
Moreover, each community has its own speciality sagra. Naturally there are also plenty of restaurants and pizzerias to suit every budget.
